San Antonio Blitz Championship 2023

Description: Description: This is a USCF rated swiss chess tournament open to all chess players. There will be 9 rounds in total. The tournament will be a one day event with no byes.

LIMIT 40 PEOPLE FOR THIS EVENT.

Round times:
• Registration at 11am - 11:45am if not done online.
• Rounds start at 12:00pm and are held asap with top 3 boards DGT recorded.

Time controls:

G/3+2

Entry fee: $30 if received before June 19th.  $40 until the day of the tournament. $50 for on-site registration and may have to take 1st round bye.

Sections and Prizes:
*50% guaranteed in prizes based on 30 entries. 50% guaranteed payout.
One prize per person
MUST BE A SAN ANTONIO RESIDENT TO WIN THE TROPHY

Two section with class prizes.
(Championship) *U1600 players must pay an extra $50 to compete in this section*
• $200-100

(Reserve)
• Top Class C(1400-1599): $100
• Top Class D(1200-1399): $100
• Top Class E/Unrated (1000-1199): $100

**Any cancellations that require a refund will be garnished with a $7 processing and transaction fee.
