Description: This is a beginner (unrated) chess tournament open to all students(K-12) in New Braunfels and nearby areas. We will play on Sunday at 10 a.m. until finish (usually around 1p.m). Followed by a Halloween after-party. Registration online only, no registration on site. Registration ends at 8:00pm on Friday. Costumes are encouraged.

To help our scholastic students focus, parents are not allowed to wait in the chess hall due to limited seating. You’re encouraged to bring lawn chairs for additional seating if you want to wait at the chess club.

LIMIT 50 PEOPLE FOR THIS EVENT.

• 5 Rounds
• Rounds 1 starts at 10 AM

Time controls:
• All Rounds G/15

Entry fee: $20 (membership discounts apply)

Sections and Prizes:

SECTIONS MIGHT BE COMBINED IF LOW ENTRY

K-1 grade
2nd-5th grade
6th-8th grade
9th-12th grade

Top 3 of each section wins a medal.

Winners of each section get one free entry to our rated scholastic Saturday tournament.

**Any cancellations that require a refund will be charged a $7 processing fee.
